Zack Snyder has been out of the spotlight since his exit from the Justice League movie following a shocking family tragedy, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been working on anything. Today, Snyder teased an upcoming short film, titled Snow Steam Iron, which was made with no budget, friends and family, and took just a weekend to shoot.

Snyder posted an image teasing the film on his Twitter account Friday morning:

We have no idea what this is about, since there’s no plot description, but it seems to at least feature a murder of some kind. And the lady in the image looks like she’s holding something that might be a crowbar. Snyder is a sucker for anything film noir, so this looks like exactly the kind of thing we’d expect from him when he’s not adapting comics.

Snyder stepped down from Justice League three months ago following a family tragedy, and Joss Whedon took over directing duties. The film is currently embroiled in more reshoots as Whedon fixes the current cut, and word is that Snyder will have a much smaller role in the DCEU moving forward. Which may give him more time to work on his own projects, like this Snow Steam Iron. We don’t know when we’re going to see it, but as Snyder says, it’s coming soon.
