At least until that 'Agent Carter' TV series gets the official greenlight, we'll have to make do with Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' as they kick off 2014 with a search for the missing Coulson in January 7 episode "The Magical Place." The first clip from the all-new hour has arrived, featuring a familiar 'Avengers' reference, but what key S.H.I.E.L.D. member shows her hand in the opening sequence of the latest 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' episode?

That's right, Agent Victoria Hand (Saffron Burrows) is back! The senior S.H.I.E.L.D. agent pops up as the team puts its impressive tech to use in capturing a black market salesman trying to move some recovered Chitauri tech from the Battle of New York. The team's slick new operation and outfits want us to "embrace the change," but will 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' finally be picking up the pace?

Says ABC’s official description of the January 7 premiere:

“The Magical Place” — Coulson uncovers vital information about the mystery of his death, but, with Centipede out for blood, this knowledge may come at the cost of one of the team on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Tuesday, January 7 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Guest starring are Saffron Burrows as Agent Victoria Hand, Ron Glass as Dr. Streiten, Ruth Negga as Raina, Rob Huebel as Lloyd Rathman, Aiden Turner as Vanchat, Felisha Terrell as Emily Deville, Cullen Douglas as Po.
