Well we'll be sons of monkey's uncles, it turns out 'American Horror Story: Asylum' is a real TV series after all!  Between the myriad of photos, and the 20+ teasers the show religiously pumped out day after day, we had yet to see any official footage of the FX horror thriller's second, re-booted season.  All that changed with a new trailer attached to last night's 'Sons of Anarchy' episode, so who's ready to enter the asylum?

We hope you're sitting down, because 'American Horror Story: Asylum has done the impossible: actually releasing footage from the second season!  Set to debut on October 17, it would seem the Ryan Murphy drama is fresh out of its creepy teasers, and dispensing our first real look at the revamped premise.  Chock full of fear, lust and insanity, the first trailer features a myriad of "who's who" with regard to its many stars.

Premiering on FX October 17, ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ features returning series veterans Lily Rabe, Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conoy and Eric Stonestreet. ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ also adds new series stars Mark Margolis,  Franka Potente, ‘The Voice‘ judge and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, ‘Step Up’s’ Jenna Dewan,‘Carnivale’ star Clea DuVall, Americanized ‘Skins’ star Britne Oldford, ‘Big Love’s’ Chloe Sevigny, French actress Lizzie Brochere, Joseph Fiennes and James Cromwell.
