All year long we've been craving a first look at 'American Horror Story' season 2, what with its plethora of castings and setting descriptions, but very little in the way of any actual footage.  Now, hot off the presses of Ryan Murphy's brand-spanking new Twitter, we've got our first look at one of the new characters, and mysteries!  It's...descriptive?

Thanks to Ryan Murphy's new Twitter account, we've caught our first look at the forthcoming second season of the Emmy-nominated spook-fest 'American Horror Story.'  In, it we see a (possibly pre-makeup) Adam Levine posing next to what appears to be one of the walls of the 1960's asylum, marked by a drawing of "Bloody Face."  Might this be a clue toward one of the new season's threats?

Levine himself will play one half of "The Lovers," opposite actress Jenna Dewan, a couple somehow integral to the proceedings of the second season.  Levine and Dewan are joined by 'The Bourne Identity'' actress Franka Potente, ‘Carnivale’ star Clea DuVall, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man‘ star Chris Zylka, Americanized ‘Skins’ star Britne Oldford, ‘Big Love’ star Chloe Sevigny, ‘The Voice‘s Adam Levine, French actress Lizzie Brochere, Joseph Fiennes and James Cromwell.

Also returning from the first season are Jessica Lange, newly-minted series regular Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe. As previously reported, all will be playing new characters independent of the first season in the show’s rebooted 1960′s asylum setting, which Lange’s character presides over.
