The murder house may have closed down, and the Asylum will eventually close its doors, but 'American Horror Story' isn't going anywhere just yet.  Following the incredible ratings of last night's "I Am Anne Franke, Part 2," FX has officially ordered a third season of the horror anthology, once again to be anchored by series star Jessica Lange.  The next "book" of 'American Horror Story' will begin in 2013, but what will its focus be?  And what other cast members might return?

It's official; America loves a good 'Horror Story.'  FX has officially announced its intent to develop a third season of the Ryan Murphy horror thriller, to premiere in the fall of 2013.  Like 'American Horror Story: Asylum,' the third season of 'American Horror Story' will take place within an all-new setting populated by new characters, keeping Emmy-winner Jessica Lange at the forefront.

“With 'American Horror Story: Asylum,' Ryan [Murphy] and Brad [Falchuk] have raised the bar in every way from Murder House, the first 'American Horror Story' miniseries,” said FX president John Landgraf. “And their original idea—the notion of doing an anthological series of miniseries with a repertory cast—has proven groundbreaking, wildly successful and will prove to be trendsetting. We can’t wait to see what deviously brilliant ideas they come up with for their third miniseries.”

FX's announcement also specified that more current cast members would likely return for the third cycle, though as of now only Jessica Lange is confirmed.  Last night’s episode of 'Asylum' topped all broadcast networks in the 10:00 p.m. time period in delivery of adults 18-34 (2.1), women 18-34 (2.4) and men 18-34 (1.7).  The current season 'Asylum' will end on January 23, 2013.

What say you?  Are you ready for another round of 'American Horror Story?'  Where do you think the series should go next?  Sound off in the comments!
