The CW's 'Arrow' will push Laurel (Katie Cassidy) further down the path of her Black Canary future with tonight's "Guilty," continuing her training under Ted "Wildcat" Grant, but the hit DC drama isn't wasting any for the character to assume the mantle. Check out Laurel's badass new black "Canary" costume from upcoming 'Arrow' episodes in the first photos!

Debuting in the season's 10th episode "Left Behind" (tonight's "Guilty" marks the 6th) the new Canary costume ditches Sara's corset and cleavage look for something much more tactical, also adding a police baton in place of Sara's staff. We'll certainly miss the cross pattern on on Sara's pants that stood in for the comic character's iconic fishnets as well, but as has been pointed out, the mesh gloves certainly nod to the look.

It remains to be seen what Oliver will make of Sara's new vigilante duds, given he'd previously refused to train her, even to avenge Sara's murder at the hands of a still-unknown killer. And where Oliver took a few years to hone his fighting skills, and even Roy needed a year or so of training, Laurel seems to have sped up more than our pulses by her new look.

See for yourself in the first photos of Laurel's new Canary costume below, and tell us what you want to see from upcoming episodes of 'Arrow' season 3 in the comments!
