Now that all four of The CW’s DC series have begun their fall seasons, fans of Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow are naturally looking for setup of the big four-way crossover in the coming months. We know DC’s alien Dominators will serve as the big bad, for which producer Marc Guggenheim teases their intent for the various Earths.

You’re warned of minor spoilers for the upcoming four-way crossover, but should the notion of alien invaders seem far-fetched for the three-part DC TV event, Arrow and Legends producer Marc Guggenheim at keast promises a familiar plan. The Dominators have existed in comics as a coalition of races bent on eliminating rogue Metahumans, a tradition Guggenheim tells Entertainment Weekly will continue:

I will say that their goal is very closely related to what was established in the comics, and it does have to do with metahumans … It’s very, very faithful to the comics.

For the most part, Flash is the only series to consistently deal with Metahumans, as Supergirl only learned of the concept by their crossover, while Arrow Season 5 has leaned off superpowers, and Legends has only Firestorm on the current roster. It also remains unclear exactly which series will introduce the Dominators, as despite only Supergirl featuring aliens, our first crossover footage emerged with a future Barry Allen reaching out to the Legends over some calamity.

Not to mention, Guggenheim also seemed to intimate a strong focus on Flash and Legends during the event:

It’s not setting up any other spin-offs, it’s just big, bombastic, huge action. There’s also some really poignant character moments. There’s a lot of plot lines, particularly I would say in Flash and Legends, that come to fruition in the crossover.

We have until November to figure it out, but what other DC madness should we expect when Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow come together?
