The field is wide-open for Arrow Season 6, as the CW DC drama moves away from its five-year flashbacks and picks up from a deadly cliffhanger. Now, Comic-Con 2017 reveals a Deathstroke-heavy trailer, as LOST alum Michael Emerson joins in a major role.

Just as we saw with The Walking Dead, Arrow Season 6 had little fresh footage to show without revealing who survived the Season 5 finale. That said, Manu Bennett’s Slade Wilson made multiple appearances on and off the island, as did Juliana Harkavy’s Dinah Drake and Katie Cassidy’s Earth-2 Laurel. And if Oliver’s now taking care of William … hmm.

The panel also brought with it some surprising details, including that Emerson would portray “an unnamed mystery character,” while guest star David Nykl will return as Oliver’s island friend and subsequent Bratva nemesis Anatoly Knyazev. After all, the Bratva were more or less running free in Star City before Oliver got bogged down with Chase’s endgame.

Elsewhere, Season 6 has already confirmed Katie Cassidy, Rick Gonzalez and Juliana Harkavy will return as series regulars, though executive producer Marc Guggenheim claimed a series regular contract was no guarantee of survival. October 12 premiereFallout” has also been said to feature a flashback, and Stephen Amell revealed Manu Bennett will make several return appearances as Slade Wilson.

We’ll see what other Arrow Season 6 details arise after Comic-Con 2017, so stay tuned.
