You didn’t think that Ash’s battle against the Deadites would be over by Season 2, did you? Only one episode into our second year of Ash Vs. Evil Dead, and Starz is already pulling the starter cord on a third season due to arrive in 2017.

Deadline confirmed as much with Starz, even as star Bruce Campbell had hinted the announcement was coming during a New York Comic-Con panel appearance. Season 3 will follow the first two years at ten episodes, and will likely premiere in 2017 around early October as well.

In the meantime, Season 2 will enter its second episode this coming Sunday with “The Morgue”:

Pablo’s grasp on reality is tested when Ruby reveals the Necronomicon has gifted him with premonitions. Meanwhile, in the morgue, Ash and Kelly discover Brock’s date might not be the warm body he’s banking on.

Eww. In any case, we’ll have to keep on through Ash Vs. Evil Dead to see whether new additions like Lee Majors or Ted Raimi stick around through Season 3, but feel free to stay groovy in the meantime.
