If there's one thing we've learned from George Clooney, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, Adam West and Christian Bale's runs at Batman, it's that the Dark Knight will never die. Though, now that Bane has come and gone, and Bale's Bruce Wayne is enjoying retirement with Anne Hathaway's Catwoman, what's next for the Bat? Will Joseph Gordon-Levitt take over superhero duties for a new franchise of films like we all might secretly want?

While information on a hoped reboot/continuation of the Batman franchise is still (way too) premature, it seems that Warner Bros., home of the Bat, just might be prepping for the event the caped crusader returns to the big screen, based on the latest rumors.

Cosmic Books News ran a story a while back regarding "mumblings" that Warner Bros. was looking to the Batman: Arkham Asylum video game storyline for a potential Batman movie reboot for 2016. Oh, and it would be set in the same world as the 'Justice League' movie, just as 'Man of Steel' is rumored to be. While recent trends in the video game movie world make a Batman game-to-screen a possibility, we scoffed a bit at this idea as Heath Ledger's go as the sadistic Joker is still fresh on our minds.

Now, however, Fucible.com is reporting that the studio is secretly (well, now it's not so secret) buying up domain names for something Batman related on the horizon. ArkhamUniverse.com, BatmanArkhamUniverse.com, BatmanArkhamArises.com, BatmanArkhamBegins.com and BatmanArkhamLegends.com are just a few of the many web URLs the studio purchased, though it's more than a little likely there'll just planning on another video game installment following the success of Arkham Asylum. Still, any information is good information when it comes to even the slightest possibility of a new Batman movie.

So, what do you think? Do you want to see a Batman movie based on the Arkham Asylum?Who do you want to see as the new Dark Knight? Give us your theories in the comments.
