If you still had doubts about whether Dwayne Johnson’s R-rated Baywatch movie could actually be funny, here’s some news that should dismiss them. Comedian Hannibal Buress has joined Johnson in the upcoming comedic take on the popular ’90s TV series, in which he’ll play — well, does it really matter who he’s playing? He’s going to make you laugh either way.

THR reports that Buress has signed on for the Baywatch film, which is being directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) from a script by Robert Ben Garant (Reno 911!), Justin Malen, and Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (Freddy vs. Jason). Buress, who also appears on the Comedy Central series Broad City, will play one of the local residents in the beach town.

Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron headline the cast of Baywatch, which centers on a veteran lifeguard (Johnson), forced to team up with a young former Olympian (Efron) to thwart the forces that are trying to destroy their local beach. The pair are joined by Johnson’s San Andreas co-star Alexandra Daddario, model Kelly Rohrbach, and Priyanka Chopra — all of whom play beautiful members of the lifeguard team because you can’t have a Baywatch movie without attractive ladies slow-mo running in swimsuits.

Baywatch hits theaters on May 19, 2017.
