If you're worried that Quantic Dream's upcoming PlayStation 3 game, Beyond: Two Souls, will be full of quick-time events and will play like a movie, then watch the new gameplay trailer to lay your fears to rest.

The new trailer shows us how Jodie Holmes will be controlled and how much the interactivity with the environment and other contextual features have been improved since Quantic's last game, Heavy Rain.

Little white dots will appear on objects that Jodie can interact with by using the right analag stick. Each object will have a different use and effect. Depending on her age and environment, Jodie's animations will change as well.

Gone are the QTEs of old, now replaced with prompt-less action sequences that use bullet-time. During fights, the action will slow to a crawl and allow you some time to input an action. For example, if Jodie is fighting hand-to hand and goes to block a right hook, you'll have to move the right analog stick to the right in order to complete the action successfully.

You'll also be able to switch out and control Aiden, the entity that's tethered to Jodie. He can possess humans, push objects, and even choke fools. The coolest thing is that he can fly around and pass through solid matter, but only within a set radius of Jodie.

Watch the trailer above and let us know what you think of the gameplay in Beyond: Two Souls. The game will drop on October 8, 2013 for the PlayStation 3.
