'Captain America 2' is already well into production, made apparent by the numerous set photos of Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow kicking ass and Anthony Mackie's Falcon flying high. We still have yet to see pics of its other all-star cast, including Robert Redford, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Emily VanCamp and more. But, based on some plot details revealed by the Falcon himself, we imagine it'll look something like what we'll get in 'The Avengers 2.'

At least, that's what Anthony Mackie says. When speaking to The Times-Picayune (via CBM), he offered up some new bits of plot to go with the info we already have:

Captain America, the Black Widow and The Falcon take down the Winter Solider together, and they solve the crime at hand and take down the Winter Soldier. So this movie, if you look at the cast, with everybody in (the fictional crime-fighting group) S.H.I.E.L.D. and (co-stars Robert) Redford and Sam Jackson and everybody who's in the movie, it's kind of turning into 'The Avengers Part 2' because the cast is so big.

We know, based on the comic book storyline on which the film's based, Bucky Barnes from the first flick is brought back as this mysterious Winter Soldier, and from the official synopsis we know it takes place in DC. While Mackie said he's involved in "60% of the movie," there's also the involvement of Redford as a higher-up 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' agent to consider. Recent quotes from the actor suggest he may have more surprises up his sleeve -- to The Straits Times, he said of his Alexander Pierce character (though we admit it could have been taken about of context), "I like the idea of playing a villain… I did that just because it’s a different thing for me to do."

Also featured in 'Captain America 2,' dubbed 'The Winter Soldier,' are Frank Grimes as the central villain Crossbones and MMA star Georges St-Pierre as co-villain Batroc the Leaper. With so many baddies, there's no wonder Chris Evans' Cap is gonna need all the help he can get.
