The only thing crazier than Marvel casting Robert Redford in 'Captain America 2' is seeing the living legend get his own 'Captain America 2' poster. An actor like this gracing a superhero movie with his presence is only further evidence that the upcoming film isn't simply messing around and may live up to the excitement generated by the trailers.

In the film, Redford plays Alexander Pierce, a high-ranking agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and an old ally of Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury. USA Today debuted the latest poster, and revealed that he'll act as a mentor to Chris Evans' Steve Rogers, which probably means one of two things: he'll die a horrible death in the second act or turn out to have been the villain behind the curtain all along. In any case, you don't cast Redford for a part unless you're going to give him something really exciting to chew on, so there's probably more to Pierce than meets the eye. Could he actually be a Marvel comic book hero or villain in disguise? We wouldn't be surprised.

'Captain America 2,' officially titled 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' arrives in theaters on April 4. Check out the poster below if you want to gaze into every pore of Mr. Redford's weathered but handsome visage.
