While Cinemax will bring two series to Comic-Con 2013 with 'Banshee' and 'Strike Back,' it's upcoming pilot drama 'Quarry' that continues to turn our heads. Most recently adding 'The Avengers' star Stellan Skarsgård and 'Die Hard' franchise vet Mary Elizabeth Winstead, the Cinemax drama adaptation has now brought in 'The Wire' vet Jamie Hector in a regular role.

According to TVLine, the former Marlo Stanfield will join the series as Arthur, best friend to the titular lead character played by 'Prometheus' star Logan Marshall-Green.

Written by Graham Gordy and Michael D. Fuller, directed by John Hillcoat, and based on Max Allen Collins’ ’70s-set pulp detective novels, ‘Quarry’ follows the titular Vietnam War veteran after he returns from battle, earning his living as a remorseless hitman taking orders from a man called “The Broker” (Stellan Skarsgård). Meanwhile, Winstead will take the role of Quarry’s wife Joni, one of the few to stand by her husband after he returns from the war.

Game of Thrones‘ star Noah Taylor and ‘The Good Wife”s Skipp Sudduth also co-star, while Keith Redmon (‘Awake’), Steve Golin, David Kanter and Matt DeRoss are attached as producers.
