It's about time that some good came out of the unfortunate cancellation of HBO's Michael Mann horse racing drama 'Luck.'  Well, other than us no longer having to pretend we were watching, or could follow all the show's complicated vocabulary.  In any case, it seems 'Dexter's list of enemies for season 7 continues to grow, but who might end up on the killer's table next?

TVLine reports that former 'Luck'  star Jason Gedrick will next guest on the long-running showtime series, his schedule having freed up from the sudden cancellation of HBO's  horse racing drama earlier this year.  The former 'Boomtown' and 'Murder One' actor will begin his multi-episode arc as manager of a Miami-area gentleman’s club that becomes linked to a high-profile murder case, when the show premieres its seventh season on Sunday, September 30.

Gedrick's casting joins that of likely major villain Ray Stevenson, a “high-ranking member of an Eastern European crime ring who arrives in Miami determined to learn who killed one of his associates.”  Most of the casting reports to come out of 'Dexter' season 7 have had to do with the Easter European mafia, as well as the gentleman's club they frequent, now to be run by Gedrick's character.

‘Dexter’s seventh season remains something of a mystery, as now it seems to incorporate Stevenson’s European crime ring story into a season that will inevitably track the fallout from – SPOILER ALERT – Deb finally learning of her brother’s murderous habits as he plunged a knife into “Doomsday Killer” Travis Marshall in season 6 finale “This is the Way the World Ends.”

Of course, the biggest question remains what Debra (Carpenter) will do in the wake of learning her brother’s dark secret, whether arrest him on the spot, find some way to rationalize her adopted sibling’s hobby, or at the very least, deal with those icky feelings for him she’d developed over the course of season 6.  There's also the casting of "Hannah," a major new female character for the upcoming season, a sexy and dangerous "force of nature" with a dark past and a likelihood of recurring into the eighth (and presumably) final season.

What say you?  Does Gedrick's casting give you any clues where the seventh season of 'Dexter' might be headed?  Give us your theories in the comments!
