Blizzard will be bringing the infernal action of Diablo 3 to consoles later this year, but they'll also make sure that the game makes an appearance in the next generation.

In an interview with DiabloFans, Blizzard developers Josh Mosqueira, Travis Day and Wyatt Cheng dropped the bomb that the Diablo 3 team has their hands on new PlayStation 4 development kits and that a PlayStation 4 version of the title will appear in 2014.

It's also been revealed that any expansion in the future will not ship simultaneously for all platforms, but will receive treatments so that it each release will fit each platform's features.

Unfortunately, there are no plans to pump out any portable versions of Diablo 3, but at least it's been confirmed that we'll see it on PlayStation 4. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 versions will be released on Sept. 3, 2013.
