You didn’t think Doctor Who would get through the 2016 Christmas special without a fresh trailer for 2017, did you? Prepare for Season 10 and a new companion, as the new trailer introduces The Doctor through the eyes of Pearl Mackie’s Bill, and boy are there a lot of questions.

In addition to fleshing out a few new details of Bill (apparently The Doctor is her professor?), the first 2017 trailer also features the returns of a number of fan-favorites, including Matt Lucas’ Nardole. We still don’t have a formal premiere date, though the new season will begin in spring 2017.

Elsewhere, in addition to Michelle Gomez’s likely return as Missy, Season 10 will also feature Jekyll & Hyde star Stephanie Hyam in a minor role. Pearl Mackie will also joined in the role of new companion Bill, while Peter Capaldi has suggested Jenna Coleman’s Clara might return in some form.

Capaldi himself has only officially signed through the coming tenth season, despite having been asked to return after Steven Moffat’s last season in spring 2017. Following Moffat’s exit, Chris Chibnall will sub in as the new head writer and executive producer, to begin after Season 10.

We’ll see more soon, but check out “The Return of Doctor Mysterio” later tonight, and stay tuned
