Fourth of July though it may be, we suspect our friends in the U.K. will be celebrating for vastly different reasons. Perhaps shall we say, for a new 'Doctor Who' season 8 trailer teaser that pits our new Time Lord Peter Capaldi against a Dalek menace with the TARDIS exploding all around him? Oh, indeed! Who's ready for some 'Doctor Who' fireworks?

However brief, our new teaser for 'Doctor Who''s August return highlights a Dalek-sounding voiceover that says, "I see into your soul, Doctor! I see beauty, divinity, hatred!" All the while, slo-mo takes us through the exploding TARDIS as we see Peter Capaldi's Doctor on the phone, electricity surging through his newly regenerated body.

Elsewhere, we’ve seen Peter Capaldi’s new costume, and even heard rumblings that Matt Smith could make a special appearance in the premiere. Samuel Anderson will guest as mysterious new companion Danny Pink, while Keeley Hawes will portray the villainous Ms. Delphox, in episode written by ‘Sherlock”s Steve Thompson and directed by Douglass Mackinnon. Ben Miller will portray yet another villain, Hermione Norris has also been given a mysterious role, and Green Wing' actress Michelle Gomez will play "The Gatekeeper of the Nethersphere."

We won't be seeing 'Doctor Who' land at Comic-Con 2014, but the world tour with stars Peter Capaldi and Jenna-Louise Coleman should more than prepare us for the August 23 premiere. In the meantime, check out the latest 'Doctor Who' season 8 teaser above, and tell us in the comments what you want to see in the newest episodes!
