Have you finally started being able to sleep in the dark again? Well, we have bad news for you, because Alma Wade will be returning in F.E.A.R. Online. The good news is that you won't have to face your fears alone.

Aeria Games is bringing F.E.A.R. Online to the United States, giving us a new reason to play our games with elevated heart rates. Tom Nichols, Vice President of PC Games at Aeria Games said, " We are thrilled to present the next entry in one of the most popular horror franchises of the last decade. F.E.A.R. Online will bring back the tense, heart-pounding action that the series is known for and make it accessible to a huge online community of competitive players.”

According to the press release, the game will feature 10 maps, filled with gory details and all kinds of viscera to make players squeamish. There will be plenty of team combat modes in which the Armacham Technology Corporation can butt heads with the F.E.A.R. team. The online game will also make use of F.E.A.R. 3's Soul King mechanic, which allows players to possess enemies and collect fallen souls.

F.E.A.R. Online will feature cooperative modes as well, giving players the chance to play through events that run concurrently with F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin's story. This mode supports up to 4 players, so you'll at least have a few other brave souls with you.

The game will be free-to-play once it's released, but you can sign up for the beta here if you're feeling impatient. Watch the trailer above and then let us know if you're ready for some thrills.
