‘Falling Skies’ Season 3: First Look at New Footage Teases the “Unanswered Questions”

Thought TNT has yet to set an official premiere date for the return of its summer alien invasion drama 'Falling Skies,' we've been anxiously awaiting a look at season 3 given the shocking cliffhanger season 2 left us on all those months ago. Now, with the 'Falling Skies' season 3 DVD / Blu-Ray on the way, TNT has unveiled our first look at the new season via a new featurette recapping the unanswered questions, so get a first look at 'Falling Skies' season 3 inside!

A new race of aliens descended from the sky, a creepy mechanical bug in Hal's eye, and Tom Mason on horseback, oh my! 'Falling Skies' season 3 won't descend upon viewers until sometime this summer, but Entertainment Weekly managed to score a first look at the all-new season in a retrospective featurette of the lingering questions from season 2.

In addition to the season 3 sneak peek, EW revealed that the 'Falling Skies' season 2 home release on either DVD or Blu-Ray will arrive on June 4 along with a host of extra features, including:

• “One Page at a Time”: Writing the 2nd American Revolution
• “The Skitter Evolution”
• A Fan’s Perspective: Touring the set of Falling Skies
• Audio commentaries for four episodes
• Behind the Scenes featurette

In addition to former '7th Heaven' star Stephen Collins' appearance as surviving US President Benjamin Hathaway, the third season of TNT’s alien actioner also boasts Doug Jones as the 2nd Mass' new alien friend, former ‘House' star Robert Sean Wilson as previously unseen Charleston power-grid moderator Dr. Roger “The Rat King” Kadar, and Noah Wyle’s former ‘E.R.’ co-star Gloria Reuben as Marina Perlata, member of the resistance and aide to Tom Mason.
