The path to Grodd has been a rewarding one for Flash fans, to slowly set up his arrival in Season 1, and go full Fay Wray in Season 2, so you didn’t think we’d leave that killa gorilla out in the jungle for Season 3, did you? Oh yes, The Flash Season 3 is headed to Grodd’s Gorilla City, and for two full episodes at that.

The news came after a flurry of CW superhero announcements from the TCA press tour panel, including the Supergirl-Flash musical crossover scheduled for next year. As to Grodd, Andrew Kreisberg confirms a two-episode arc will see Team Flash visiting the Earth-2 Gorilla City we last saw Harrison Wells depositing Grodd at. Let’s get weird!

Worth noting, the panel also confirmed that Season 3's evil speedster is based on DC’s Savitar; presumably the same figure we glimpsed on set being portrayed by Spartacus alum Todd Lasance.

So far of The Flash Season 3, we know Harry Potter star Tom Felton has signed on as a series regular, while Tom Cavanagh has confirmed his return as a Season 3 regular (as what character remains to be seen), along with Violett Beane as his daughter Jesse. John Wesley Shipp will also return as the Earth-3 Jay Garrick, joining new additions Grey Damon as Mirror Master, and Saw big bad Tobin Bell voicing Dr. Alchemy. Keiynan Lonsdale also has his own Kid Flash costume in the new timeline, while Kevin Smith has been confirmed to direct the seventh hour.

We’ll have more on Season 3 of The Flash soon, but take a look at the footage below, and stay tuned for the October 4 premiere!
