'Game of Thrones' season 3 has our anticipation at an all-time high for the March 31 premiere, particularly after the extended trailer released this weekend, so it doesn't seem as if HBO will have much hesitation renewing the George R.R. Martin-adapted drama for a fourth season. Even so, one 'Game of Thrones' star has revealed that season 4 is already in the works, so find out the latest progress, plus you can check out a number of new photos from 'Game of Thrones' season 3 inside!

It isn't known exactly how much of George R.R. Martin's novel "A Storm of Swords" will be covered by 'Game of Thrones' season 3, though a fourth season to continue the story seems almost a foregone conclusion at this point. Nevertheless, while HBO has yet to officially confirm the order, series star Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister) commented while promoting the recent season 2 Blu-Ray that work on season 4 had already begun.

We’re about to start season four aren’t we? This year. We get scripts pretty early on, much earlier on than in similar series, usually you get perhaps one episode and you just have to trust that what’s going to come in subsequent episodes is going to be as good as the one you’ve got.

But in this I think there are six scripts already written, and we will probably be able to see them with more than adequate time to prepare before we start shooting.

At this point, HBO's confirmation of a fourth season of 'Game of Thrones' would be about as surprising as 'The Walking Dead's' fourth season order, though hopefully 'Game of Thrones' won't have as many issues with its own showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

In addition to the massive gallery of 'Game Thrones' season 3 photos, WinterisComing also managed to find six new photos from the season not among the original set, so have a look below and tell us what you want to see from 'Game of Thrones' Season 3 in the comments!
