With all of Marvel's ongoing plans surrounding superhero sequels, ABC's 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV series and the inevitable 'Avengers 2,' one might overlook that acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro still maintains designs on an 'Incredible Hulk' TV series to be produced with ABC. Given the lack of development however, is Marvel quietly pushing 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' over 'The Incredible Hulk?' Find out what Guillermo del Toro has to say on the matter inside!

As wonderful a time as it is to be a Marvel fan, seeing heroes realized in live-action like never before, we're still curious to learn what became of Guillermo del Toro's potential take on an 'Incredible Hulk' TV series. Well, apparently so is del Toro himself! Speaking to MTV, the director clarified that he's been unable to get any kind of update on the project from Marvel, who seems to understandably be turning its attention elsewhere.

I met with Jeph Loeb after 'Avengers,' but after that meeting, there's been complete radio silence on the show. It's very frustrating for me and for the fans that we don't know.

I haven't heard anything in months about the show, but obviously 'Avengers' is a game-changer for Marvel. It's their property, and if I don't make it, at least I'll watch it.

Given the ongoing progress of ABC and Marvel's Joss Whedon-fronted 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV series, it isn't likely ABC would allot two upcoming series to the Marvel Universe or for that matter choose 'Hulk' over an 'Avengers' tie-in. Still, it remains to be seen if Marvel or ABC wants to keep the project in their back pocket for now.

What say you? Do you think Guillermo del Toro's 'Incredible Hulk' TV series will ever see the light of day? Are you more interested in 'S.H.I.E.L.D.?' Give us your thoughts in the comments!
