'Insidious 2' Poster Will Take What You Love Most

The first 'Insidious' film derived plenty of scares from putting a slight twist on something seemingly ordinary and innocent, so it makes perfect sense that the new 'Insidious 2' poster would operate in the same vein.

Whereas the first film got plenty of mileage out of a creepy kid, the sequel seems to lean pretty heavily on a creepy baby. After all, it's hard to go wrong with putting an infant in a horror movie. Is he/she possessed, acting as a vessel for some kind of vile demon? Or is the baby simply in danger of getting devoured by some kind of supernatural threat? In either case, a baby in jeopardy raises the stakes to an appropriately high level ... and the stakes need to be pretty massive if 'Insidious: Chapter 2' wants to compete with its predecessor.

While the first 'Insidious' saw Patrick Wilson venturing into the realm of the dead and encountering all kinds of weird and creepy stuff, the sequel reveals that something came back with him. 'Insidious: Chapter 2' is directed by James Wan, and it arrives in theaters on September 13, 2013.
