Whether or not the gang from 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' ends up holding to series star Glenn Howerton's earlier words that the show would come to a close with season 10, the upcoming ninth season is nearly ready to have its layers peeled back. The full hi-res poster for the Paddy's Pub gang's arthouse phase has arrived, and we can't decide if we're turned on or hungry.

Perhaps the culmination of the Swedish arthouse ads previewing 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia''s September 4 move to FXX, the full poster for the upcoming ninth season keeps to the monochrome theme with a slash of yellow, namely an artfully peeling banana. Whatever does it mean? Why, it's symbolism, of course! It symbolizes bananas.

Among the multiple storylines we’ve heard teased (and even seen for ourselves at Comic-Con 2013), ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ season 9 also includes guest appearances from actor Seann William Scott, singer Josh Groban and ‘Breaking Bad‘ star Aaron Paul. ‘Game of Thrones‘ showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have written an episode, though the story of “Flowers for Charlie” won’t have anything to do with the HBO series itself, instead parodying "Flowers for Algernon."
