'Man of Steel' is following the lead of 'Star Trek: Into Darkness'! Both films are set to premiere new footage along with screenings of 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' starting December 14 -- for 'Star Trek,' that means nine-ish minutes worth of screen time, and for the new Superman flick, it's a brand-new trailer! But what about that sneak peek Warner Bros. promised us of 'Man of Steel'? Remember that? Well, it turns out that's a new 'Man of Steel' poster, which seems appropriate as 'Star Trek: Into Darkness' just premiered one as well.

The first 'Man of Steel' poster, which debuted back at San Diego Comic-Con this year, was just a close-up of Henry Cavill as the new Superman. The latest one, courtesy of the official 'Dark Knight Rises' Facebook Page, gives us a little bit more to work with...but what is that we see? Superman is in trouble with the law?

Warner Bros. gave fans a chance to unlock a sneak peek of 'Man of Steel' before the official trailer hit, and now that peek is finally here in the form of a new poster depicting Superman in handcuffs and being led away by soldiers. In Zack Snyder's origin story to one of the most internationally recognized superheroes, Superman must ultimately decide whether or not to become Earth's savior, but so far, it looks like he'll have a rocky road ahead before he's ready to be the good guy.

Here's the official 'Man of Steel' synopses:

Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

Check out the latest 'Man of Steel' poster below, and be sure to hit screenings of 'The Hobbit' on December 14 for the premiere of the new trailer!
