Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Preview Photos: “Eye Spy” Coulson’s Dark Secret

After taking us to the jungles of Peru for Hydra tech and introducing us to the threat of Graviton, Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' will head further into the unknown as Coulson tracks down a mysterious thief in next week's "Eye Spy." The first photos of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.''s fourth hour have emerged, so what Marvel secrets are buried within the 'Avengers'-adjacent series this time around?

Tuesday's fourth episode of the ABC smash will see Coulson and the team taking to Sweden to track down an impossible thief, at least until they realize the woman has a unique connection to our miraculously resurrected team leader. The first photos from the hour don't show very much in the way of Marvel easter eggs or potential clues from the episode, but we're fine with 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' working harder to develop its own characters and mythology.

Agent Coulson and the S.H.I.E.L.D. team try to track down a mysterious woman who has single-handedly committed numerous high-stakes heists. But when the woman’s identity is revealed, a troubling secret stands to ruin Coulson.

Guest starring are Pascale Armand as Akela Amador, Dominic Burgess as Englishman, Michael Klesic as Kropsky, Julia Emelin as inn keeper and Nick Gracer as armed guard.

There aren't any signs of our mysterious red-masked villains either, so could "Eye-Spy" be furthest from the Marvel canon yet? What new secrets will be uncovered when the series reveals more of Coulson's history?
