Regardless of whatever problems Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' might have in its inaugural season, ABC's 'Avengers'-adjacent series is fast exhausting its reservoir of recognizable S.H.I.E.L.D. faces to put in cameos. Following Titus Welliver's announced return as 'Item 47' Agent Blake, Maximiliano Hernandez has been announced to reprise the role of Agent Jasper Sitwell in the seventh episode of the season "The Hub."

It isn't known exactly what brings Sitwell back into the fold, though like Agent Blake, we hope Coulson's presence raises more than a few questions over his surprise resurrection following the events of 'The Avengers.' Hernandez had regularly appeared as Agent Sitwell opposite Clark Gregg's character, stepping in for him in the 'Item 47' one-shot that inspired 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' The character has also been confirmed to appear in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' next year:

From Marvel's official press description of "The Hub":

"The Hub" - Dangerous secrets are being kept from Coulson’s team, and he works the system to save Ward and Fitz when they are sent on a Level 8 classified mission that may end in tragedy in "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," on the ABC Television Network.

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz and Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons.

Guest starring are Maximiliano Hernandez as Agent Sitwell, Charles Halford as Agent Shaw, Alison White as Marta and Ilia Volok as Vladimi.

"The Hub" was written by Rafe Judkins & Lauren LeFranc and directed by Bobby Roth.
