Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' had its future more than ensured today, earning a full-season pickup from ABC after releasing photos and details from this coming Tuesday's all-new episode "Eye Spy," but the 'Avengers'-adjunct drama has even more cause to celebrate. 'LOST' and 'Supernatural' veteran Titus Welliver will return to reprise his Marvel one-shot 'Item 47' role in an upcoming episode!

Welliver will reappear in the sixth episode of of the current season "FZZT," reprising his role as one-shot S.H.I.E.L.D. character Agent Blake. The 'Avengers' one-shot 'Item 47' largely served as an inspiration for 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' with Jasper Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernández) effectively standing in for downed Coulson, recruiting two new agents (Jesse Bradford and 'Masters of Sex' star Lizzy Caplan) to the Marvel organization.

Says ABC of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' episode 6, "FZZT":

"FZZT" - When floating bodies turn up, Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D must hunt down an elusive killer. No one is safe--not even the team--on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." on the ABC Television Network.

Guest starring are Titus Welliver as Agent Blake, Vincent Laresca as Tony Diaz, Robert Maffia as Baker, David Michael Paul as Justin, Rick Gifford as Adam Cross, Thomas Robie as scout #1, Trevor Larcom as scout #2, Caleb Burgess as scout #3, Jake Brennan as scout #4 and Troy Glass as scout #5. "FZZT" was written by Paul Zbyszewski and directed by Vincent Misiano.

This might not be as exciting as Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) or Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) cameos, regardless we're happy to see 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' keeping continuity with its Marvel predecessors all the same. Now, Lizzy Caplan, please and thank you?

In the meantime, check out the latest preview for next Tuesday's "Eye Spy" below, and stay tuned for more news on Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' from New York Comic-Con!
