Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Preview Photos: "The Well" Runs Dry on 'Thor: The Dark World'Kevin Fitzpatrick |
This past week's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' installment "The Hub" took us deeper into the heart of the Marvel cinematic universe than we've explored to date, going S.H.I.E.L.D.-heavy with Victoria Hand and references to the Triskelion, but will next week's "The Well" deliver on its promise of exploring 'Thor: The Dark World''s fallout? Find out in Marvel's massive set of photos from the hour!
You won't find any Asgardians (that we can see) in the full set of photos from next week's "The Well," though we can at least spot one Titan in the episode's director Jonathan Frakes, seen in a few production photos. Meanwhile, we've got Peter MacNicol ('Ghostbusters II,' assorted Marvel/DC voice work) in the role of a mysterious man who seems to harbor secrets and artifacts from the team.
The promo above at least tells us that the episode will see an Asgardian staff that apparently imparts superpowers, Agent Ward in particular falling under its sinister spell. Here's what ABC has to say on next week's 'Thor'-centric "The Well":
"The Well" - In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World," Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pick up the pieces--one of which threatens to destroy a member of the team, on Tuesday, November 19.
Guest starring Peter MacNicol as Professor Elliot Randolph, Michael Graziadei as Jakob Nystrom, Erin Way as Petra Larsen, Toby Wilson as Neils, Alex Neustaedter as Maynard and Sylvia Brindis as Elena.
"The Well" was written by Monica Owusu-Breen and directed by Jonathan Frakes.
It's hard to say if 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' can truly succeed in its first major movie tie-in, but what say you? Does the full gallery of photos from "The Well" have you excited for next week's installment? Will you make sure to see 'Thor: The Dark World' in advance, if you haven't already?
