Comic-Con may belong to The Defenders, but you knew The Punisher would steal the spotlight at some point. Jon Bernthal himself showed up to debut the Daredevil spinoff’s first footage, in the process teasing an international bloodbath.

Bernthal’s appearance unfortunately didn’t provide an official premiere date or embeddable footage, but those in attendance of the panel were treated to an extended montage of Frank’s wrath. We first saw a flashback to Frank Castle and his daughter playing guitar, before returning to the punishing present of Frank chasing Alabama thugs, gunning them down and running them over. Another major scene had Frank targeting a cartel member in Juarez, Mexico; taking his shot from a nest over the border in El Paso, Texas. Finally, part of the footage saw Frank choking a man in an airport bathroom stall, as a bystander urges them to get a room (eye-roll).

In addition to Jon Bernthal, Marvel’s Netflix Punisher includes among its cast Daredevil star Deborah Ann Woll reprising her role as Karen Page, Westworld alum Ben Barnes as Frank’s Special Forces friend (and future Jigsaw) Billy Russo, and Girls star Ebon Moss-Bachrach as “Micro,” described as “a former NSA analyst whose secrets may be of great value to Frank Castle and everyone around them.” Amber Rose Revah will also play Homeland Security agent Dinah Madani, while the support cast is outlined below:

Daniel Webber (“11.22.63”) has been cast as Lewis Walcott, a young veteran who has had a difficult time re-assimilating into Civilian Society.

Jason R. Moore (“A Lonely Place for Dying”) joins as Curtis Hoyle, a friend of Frank Castle’s and one of the few people who knows he is alive.

Paul Schulze (“Nurse Jackie”) will play Rawlins, a high-ranking member of the CIA whose operations in Afghanistan intersect with Frank Castle.

Jaime Ray Newman (“Bates Motel”) plays Sarah Lieberman, Micro’s wife (played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach) whose marriage has made her life far more complicated.

Michael Nathanson (“The Knick,” “Wolf of Wall Street”) has been cast as Sam Stein, a Homeland agent who is challenged by his partnership with Dinah (Amber Rose Revah).

We’ll hear more on Marvel’s Netflix future from Comic-Con, so stay tuned for the latest.
