Holy cow! It's not even May and already NBC has taken drastic steps toward renewing five of its major drams, both new and old. Over the wire we've learned that 'Revolution,' 'Grimm,' 'Parenthood,' 'Law & Order: SVU' and 'Chicago Fire' have all received episode orders for the 2013-14 season, but will they offer full seasons? Find out what's coming back and whose fate hangs in the balance inside!

Fans of 'Revolution,' 'Grimm,' 'Parenthood,' 'SVU' and 'Chicago Fire,' your day has come! Days before NBC offers its official Upfront presentation, and the peacock has awarded new season orders to all five of its staple dramas, each of which will return for 22-episode seasons in 2013.

“On the verge of our 2013 fall scheduling decisions, we’re pleased to renew five drama series that will be important to our new season lineup,” said Jennifer Salke, president of NBC Entertainment.

We’re proud and very appreciative of all of the actors, producers, writers and directors who work so hard to deliver such high-quality work week in and week out. These complex shows represent a broad range of genres and tones, and all of them stand out for us in a television landscape now filled with one-hour series.

We’re especially pleased to be renewing Revolution and Chicago Fire — two first-season successes — and there will be more returning series announcements made in the next couple of weeks.

Pretty good news all around, but it will be a bit longer before we hear of returning favorites like 'Community' or 'Parks and Recreation.' What say you? are you glad 'Revolution,' 'Grimm,' 'Parenthood,' 'Law & Order: SVU' and 'Chicago Fire' have all received such generous 22-episode orders?
