'Pacific Rim' is easily one of our most anticipated movies of 2013. An epic "Robots vs. Monsters" movie directed by the mad genius Guillermo del Toro, it's truly looking like the highlight of the summer movie season packed with all kinds of expensive blockbuster goodness. One sign that 'Pacific Rim' is going to be something special is a new character poster that doesn't highlight any of the human cast, but rather one of the film's many gigantic robots.

Del Toro has promised that 'Pacific Rim' will feature dozens of individual robots (called "Jaegers") and monsters (called "Kaiju") and that each of them will be completely unique. This latest poster, which may turn out to be the first in a series, shows off a Jaeger called "Coyote Tango," which is Japan's contribution to the "Save the Planet From Giant Monsters From Another Dimension" fund.

UPDATE: As expected, we're seeing more Jaegers from all over the world through character posters in the vein of those ones for 'Catching Fire,' and we're also seeing each as a reflection of their home nation in some way (Coyote Tango's design has a definite anime/manga vibe going on). Bookmark this page for later to see the rest of the 'Pacific Rim' posters as they come.

'Pacific Rim' opens on July 12th. In addition to the robots and monsters, the film stars Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Idris Elba, Charlie Day and Rinko Kikuchi. Check out the latest poster below, and stick with us for the latest updates.
