Even with 'Parks and Recreation' guest star Jean-Ralphio's increasingly infrequent appearances (a result of actor Ben Schwartz's leading role on Showtime's 'House of Lies'), the NBC comedy has gotten a great deal of mileage out of introducing the character's equally off-putting family members. First we had 'SNL' alum Jenny Slate as Jean-Ralphio's sister Mona Lisa, and now the Fonz himself, Henry Winkler as his father!

The Hollywood Reporter first revealed the news of Winkler's casting, adding that the character would appear beginning with the hour-long September 26 premiere, and potentially recur over the course of the season. It isn't entirely clear if Winkler and Schwartz will share scenes in the appearance however, or if Winkler's character will be anything like his children. Both Winkler and Schwartz participated in the fourth season of 'Arrested Development' as well, but never overlapped.

In addition to Kristen Bell’s upcoming guest appearance as Leslie's Eagleton equivalent, 'Parks and Recreation' will set its premiere episode in London, largely to accommodate star Chris Pratt's shooting role in Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy.' Meanwhile, the long-running NBC comedy will continue the many threads started by last season’s finale, including Ron and Diane’s (Lucy Lawless) pregnancy, Tom’s mysterious “Rent-a-Swag” competitor, Ann’s desire for a baby, and April’s move to veterinary school.
