Some weeks before 'Parks and Recreation' season 6 added 'Veronica Mars' sleuth Kristen Bell to its upcoming run, the long-running NBC comedy was announced to have an hourlong premiere set in London. And while the series will have its own reasons for hopping across the pond, the true genesis for the idea comes from star Chris Pratt's presence in the city shooting Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy'!

'Parks and Recreation' showrunner Mike Schur gave a lengthy interview to TVGuide about the latest happenings from season 6, among them the in-show reasons for the show's trip to London. S6 will very much continue the idea generated in S5 that several angry Pawneeans will seek to have Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) recalled, and Leslie herself will need to bolster her confidence back in London, with the help of those from the 'Parks' gang.

There are a couple different things going on. The main thing that's happening is that Leslie is obviously being recalled from office. She is in the middle of this fight for her life. She's broken her recall defense into 40 different phases. One of the phases is called "Think Outside the Box." During this phase, April (Aubrey Plaza) nominated her for an award for the International Woman in Leadership group.

She's won the award and there's a number of women from all over the world who have won this award. The ceremony is in London, so for that reason, Leslie heads to London. Other people tag along for various reasons. Andy and Ben (Adam Scott) are working on putting together an international version of one of their charity projects. April is there because Andy is going. There's a couple different things that happen when they're actually there.

In addition to Kristen Bell's upcoming guest appearance, her 'House of Lies' co-star Ben Schwartz will also reprise his role as Jean-Ralphio Saperstein, but Schur believes the two aren't actually scheduled to overlap with shooting. Meanwhile, 'Parks and Recreation' season 6 will continue the many threads started by last season's finale, including Ron and Diane's (Lucy Lawless) pregnancy, Tom's mysterious "Rent-a-Swag" competitor, Ann's desire for a baby, and April's move to veterinary school.

We're excited to see how 'Parks and Recreation' handles Chris Pratt's buff transformation for 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' considering Andy's usual slovenly chub, but what say you? Which of 'Parks and Recreation' season 6's new turns has you the most excited?
