In a move that not only promotes the upcoming 'RoboCop' remake but also attempts to strike fear in the hearts of potential drunk drivers, Sony Pictures has partnered with the National Highway Safety Administration for a new PSA: "Drive sober or get pulled over" ... by RoboCop!

Many fans of the original films, which starred actor Peter Weller as Alex Murphy-turned-RoboCop, bemoaned the idea of a remake with 'The Killing' star Joel Kinnaman wearing the suit, but at least he's working to stop actual crimes. And, of course, the new PSA features brief bits of footage from the film, as well as one liners akin to the original tagline, "Dead or alive, you're coming with me!"

The new 'RoboCop' features a cast of Kinnaman, Michael Keaton, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and Abbie Cornish, and sees a newer, sleeker (if you will) version of the iconic part-human, part-robot defender. It's the year 2028, and OmniCorp (not OsCorp, Spidey fans) wants to bring its controversial robotic military technology to law enforcement across America. After transforming Alex Murphy, a cop almost fatally injured, into the human-robot hybrid, they see him as the perfect opportunity to do so.

So this holiday season, just remember to drink responsibly or you'll be getting a visit from RoboCop. And if you're not a fan of the remake, this is something to worry about.

'RoboCop' hits theaters February 12, 2014.
