Yesterday we were hit with our first look at the 'RoboCop' remake, starring Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton and Samuel L. Jackson. Hard to argue with such a cool cast, but the action and visuals displayed in the trailer have got the internet riled up. So what did you think?

'RoboCop' had an uphill battle to begin with. Most people aren't very fond of remakes, but when you take a property like 'RoboCop,' which is beloved by a generation of fans and packs some serious nostalgia value, you're asking for trouble, especially when you consider how that 'Total Recall' remake worked out.

Now that we've seen the trailer, it can be argued that the skeptics have even more firepower; the film has quite clearly shaken up some of the core elements of the original 'RoboCop' and you have to give it credit for trying to carve out a personality of its own. But as is usually the case with remakes, there's an eternal dilemma: you're damned if you stick too closely to the source material, you're damned if you stray too far from it.

So what do you think of the 'RoboCop' remake, based on the new trailer? Vote in our poll and comment below!
