‘Stranger Things’ Cast Reunites With Barb on ‘Chelsea’
The world’s obsession for Stranger Things turned toward the future with the announcement of a second season, but is it finally time to let Barb go? Chelsea Handler doesn’t think so, as the real Shannon Purser got a chance to reunite with the Stranger Things kids for a new Chelsea appearance.
The late-night Netflix series reunited the erstwhile Barb (soon to be Riverdale star) with young Stranger Things stars Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin, offering a birthday cake for Gaten. Why anyone would pair Shannon Purser and actors with whom she’d scarcely interacted is beyond us, but look! Barb content! We’re at Apex Barb, guys.
Of course, we’ve all heard by now that the Duffer brothers promise a “justice for Barb” in Season 2, one ideally less gruesome than the initial death concept artists were asked to envision. We’ll also have several new character to horribly murder in Season 2, while Purser has already picked up a new gig on The CW’s Archie reboot.
Come, let us embrace in one last Barb tribute, then walk hand in hand into extinction. One last midnight, brothers and sisters.
