As this mediocre summer movie season nears an end, there’s a little bit of pressure on Suicide Squad to deliver the goods. The trailers are great, the cast looks fantastic, and we’re even excited about Jared Leto’s Joker — despite that jarring Hot Topic street thug aesthetic. David Ayer’s DC super-villain flick hits theaters next week, and just in case you need a couple of extra reasons to get out and see it, WB has released a new featurette that puts the focus on the film’s practical stunts.

It’s your typical behind-the-scenes featurette, offering interviews with Ayer and the cast of Suicide Squad, but the real highlight of the video above is the emphasis on stunt work. As second unit director Guy Norris explains, he’d rather shoot an actor from the front than a double from the back, which is a motto we’d love to see applied in more blockbusters. You can see Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Cara Delevingne and Jai Courtney training for fight scenes and learning choreography to make those sequences look more believable — so when Ayer says he wanted to make a “grounded” film, that’s what he means.

In addition to the new featurette, WB has revealed an exclusive IMAX countdown for Suicide Squad. If you went to see movies like Godzilla and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation in IMAX, then you probably remember the customized pre-show countdown sequences created specifically for those films, like so:

Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5.
