Nowadays it’s become common for stars to sign on for multiple films in a comic book franchise or film universe, like most of the stars over at Marvel Studios. Even still, a new report regarding Viola Davis’ multi-film contract with Warner Bros. for their DC film universe is pleasantly surprising because it indicates that Davis’ Amanda Waller character is integral to DC and WB’s film plans beyond ‘Suicide Squad.’

The Wrap reports that Davis has signed on to play Amanda Waller in multiple films, although the exact number of films is unclear. Davis’ casting was reported not long ago (Oprah was also on the shortlist—can you even imagine a superhero film with Oprah? Beautiful insanity!), and although WB has yet to officially confirm, Davis pretty much confirmed it in an interview with Nerd Report. All that’s basically left for Davis to work out is scheduling, as she’s still committed to the hit series ‘How to Get Away With Murder.’

In the comics, Amanda Waller is a tough government agent who runs the Suicide Squad, making her a key character in the upcoming supervillain ensemble film. But given her government ties, it’s easy to see her popping up in other DC films—might we see her picking up villains to join the Suicide Squad? It’s possible.

Davis stars alongside previously announced cast members Tom Hardy, Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, and Jai Courtney, while Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor from ‘Batman vs. Superman’ will also likely star. ‘Suicide Squad’ will be directed by David Ayer, and hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
