Earlier today we heard that Michael Bay's new Starz pirate drama 'Black Sails' had officially set its 2014 premiere, and now Bay's other nautical drama has some good news of its own. TNT has officially greenlit apocalyptic naval thriller 'The Last Ship' to a 10-episode series, giving our first look at Eric Dane/Adam Baldwin drama in the process! See 'The Last Ship' in action inside!
One pilot we've certainly kept our eye on for the coming season is that of TNT's Michael Bay-produced 'The Last Ship,' and not solely for the number of explosions likely inherent. Among such big-name casting choices as 'Grey's Anatomy' cast-off Eric Dane and the lovely Rhona Mitra, we were intrigued to learn that 'LOST' and 'Supernatural' star Titus Welliver was to take a part. An emergency has forced Welliver out of the series, but 'Chuck's Adam Baldwin sounds like a fine replacement to us!
As much as we miss 'Chuck,' and particularly 'Firefly' (yes, we realize it's almost 10 years old), it's nice that the always fan-friendly Adam Baldwin has the freedom to come and go on TV as he pleases. We recently saw Baldwin reuniting with former 'Firefly' co-star Nathan Fillion for an episode of 'Castle,' so what will Baldwin next pop up as on TNT's 'Leverage?' And what former co-star will he join this time?
