Doctor Strange wrapped production this past weekend with an outdoors shoot in New York City. Along with that came a flurry of paparazzi photos of stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Mads Mikkelsen in action. Boy, that Benedict Cumberbatch is a busy bee. Just days after making the streets of NYC a little Strange-r, the Sherlock star is back abroad, kicking off production on the fourth season of the detective’s modern adventures. That said, why do we get the feeling Season 4 might be Sherlock and Watson’s final case?

We’ve already gotten an official look at Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme, but some new photos from the set of Doctor Strange give us another look at the actor and his co-star Chiwetel Ejiofor (along with a few mysterious cohorts). The stars of Marvel’s mystical superhero film spring into action — quite literally — in the latest images from the set, taking the action from London to the streets of New York.

Nice as it was to have Sherlock reintroduce us to Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman’s dynamic in a classic era, the stealth prequel couldn’t help whet appetites for Moriarty’s apparent return in Season 4. Sadly, we’ll have to wait longer than ever to catch up with Sherlock and Watson in the modern day, as PBS says Season 4 is at least a year out.

We’re 10 months away from the release of Doctor Strange, and probably just a few months out from the first official trailer, which will likely debut with Captain America: Civil War in May. While you patiently wait to see Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme in action, Marvel has released some new concept art along with high-def versions of those official photos that previously appeared in Entertainment Weekly.

Following this week’s reveal of the first official images of Benedict Cumberbatch as the Sorcerer Supreme and Kevin Feige’s hints about the next Infinity Stone comes new intel on the other characters in Doctor Strange — namely, Tilda Swinton’s take on the Ancient One and Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Baron Mordo, who may or may not be a villain? It’s a bit more complicated than that.

At long last, Sherlock will once again return to all our TV screens in just a few days time, albeit looking a bit different than we’re used to. Now, cast and crew take us inside The Abominable Bride with a new featurette detailing how Benedict Cumberbatch’s modern Sherlock transported itself back to Victorian times.

So far, the MCU has introduced four of the six Infinity Stones, the immeasurably powerful gems that Thanos has been trying — and failing — to collect. There are still two more stones to be revealed before we get to Avengers: Infinity War, and according to a new interview with Marvel’s Kevin Feige, it looks like Doctor Strange may very well be introducing another one — the time gem.
