Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla was received mostly well, though it did evoke some divisive reactions — some people liked the characters, but hated the lack of actual Godzilla, while others praised Edwards for his restraint with the classic movie monster (I am in this camp) and criticized the underdeveloped characters (also in this one). At least one actor sides with the latter group: Bryan Cranston isn’t very happy about the way his character was handled in the movie.

Bryan Cranston took a little break from leading roles since the end of Breaking Bad, which might have been a smart move after being so prevalent in our pop culture consciousness for several years. But that’s changing with Trumbo, the new film in which Cranston stars as the famously disgraced screenwriter, and the first trailer is quite fetching.
The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers have seen their fair share of reboots and adaptations, but did you know Saban went all out to add new sequences to better suit its 1993 American premiere? Or that Walter White himself, Bryan Cranston held an early role? Break out your morphers, it’s the 16th episode of ‘You Think You Know TV?,’ which go-goes to Angel Grove for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!
Breaking Bad successfully turned Mr. Chips into Scarface, but did you know that AMC wanted Matthew Broderick or John Cusack for the role of Walter White? Or that Jesse was supposed to die in Season 1? These are just some of the crystal blue persuasions from the thirteenth episode of ‘You Think You Know TV?,’ which cooks up a new batch for AMC’s Breaking Bad!
HBO had enough star power on its hands in adapting Bryan Cranston’s Tony-winning Lyndon B. Johnson show All The Way with Stephen Spielberg’s help, and now a Falcon has heeded the call. Civil War star Anthony Mackie will play the role of Martin Luther King Jr. himself, as All The Way gets ready to go before cameras this September.
The first Kung Fu Panda film established that Jack Black’s Po had been adopted and his entire family was no longer living. But the first images from Kung Fu Panda 3 reveal quite the contrary — not only is Po’s family alive and well, but there’s a whole bunch of them, including some cute baby pandas.
After the many sins of ‘Star Trek Into Darkness,’ Paramount seems dead set on righting the course of the ‘Star Trek’ franchise with ‘Star Trek 3.’ They ditched controversial director Roberto Orci, hired the great Simon Pegg to co-write the screenplay with Doug Jung, and now, word that hit the internet suggesting that the film will contain three new female characters ... and a villain fit for Bryan Cranston.
‘Breaking Bad’ may be completely, definitively over, but that doesn’t mean Walter White is ready to leave popular culture alone. Oh, no. As long as Bryan Cranston is alive and as lone as insurance companies are prepared to back dump trucks full of cash up this house, we’ll get to see America’s favorite meth dealer pop up every so often. So while it’s weird to se Cranston play Heisenberg one more time in an Esurance commercial, it’s not that surprising.
If you've ever seen the press room at a major awards show, you know how strange and dizzying an experience it must be for the winners -- just a lot of people screaming questions at them while they clutch their new award and try to process the whole thing -- but we've finally found something much, much more bizarre.
'Breaking Bad' may be over, but there's still plenty of love to go around for the series at tonight's 2014 Emmy Awards, as Bryan Cranston has just been given the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Other nominees included Oscar winners Kevin Spacey for 'House of Cards' and Matthew McConaughey for 'True Detective.'
