It’s hard not to exclaim “Oh what a lovely day!” every time we get to see new footage from Mad Max: Fury Road. Director George Miller’s long-awaited, highly-anticipated installment in the franchise is going to blow our minds with its extended chase sequence and intense action. It looks like those delays really paid off, as Miller devoted his time wisely to perfecting what could (and will likely) be one of the most epic action films of all time. Today brings two international TV spots, featuring a bunch of lovely, lovely new footage.

If you live in France, the next Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult film you’ll see won’t be Mad Max: Fury Road — it’ll be Dark Places, the latest Gillian Flynn adaptation, which weirdly hasn’t been getting nearly as much attention as we thought it might, given the success of Gone Girl. Dark Places doesn’t have a U.S. release date yet (yeah, we have no idea), but a new clip has landed online to give you a little peek at what this new Flynn adaptation is all about.

Mad Max: Fury Road is like the blockbuster version of a Stefan sketch from Saturday Night Live: “Hollywood’s hottest movie is Mad Max: Fury Road! This movie has everything: Cars with spikes, motorcycles on stilts, albinos with crazy teeth masks, guitars that spit fire!” At least in this trailer (and pretty much all the film’s trailers), the whole thing just looks absolutely bananas, not so much post-apocalyptic as post-sanity.

This summer is going to be absolutely nuts. Not only do we have the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron to look forward to, but there’s also Mad Max: Fury Road, which is going to melt your faces right off. We got a sneak peek at some new footage during SXSW, and while that footage won’t end up online, we do have a few new explosive teasers to share. They might be brief, but they pack some serious action.

Last night, following a very special screening of The Road Warrior at SXSW, director George Miller treated us to seven minutes of action-packed new footage from Mad Max: Fury Road, as well as an exclusive new trailer created just for the fest. The new footage was brutal and gorgeous, and gave us a nice taste of Charlize Theron’s intensely bad ass Imperator Furiosa.

When David Fincher’s Gone Girl became an overnight critical and box office sensation, you just know that everyone involved in Dark Places did a little dance when no one was looking. When they started production on the film adaptation of the Gillian Flynn novel of the same name, they were just making a thriller. Now, they’ve made the second movie based on a book by the woman who wrote Gone Girl. And yes, that book gets name-dropped in the first Dark Places trailer. Because why not ride that wave?

This new Mad Max: Fury Road trailer comes to us from Japan and is mostly a condensed version of the previous trailer, with a few new scenes added on. No matter. Even at just over one minutes with Japanese subtitles, it's still knocking our socks off.

Director Frank Darabont has parted ways with Universal and ‘The Huntsman,’ the upcoming sequel to ‘Snow White and the Huntsman.’ Though judging by Charlize Theron’s involvement, maybe it’s more of a prequel? Universal will have to find a new director for the film, which is reportedly still expected to hit theaters in 2016, regardless of this setback.

In the last couple of months, we learned a whole lot following the massive hacking attack on Sony, including their plans (and non-plans) for Spider-Man, their negotiations with Marvel, and more. But one of the more depressing revelations was found in e-mails detailing how Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence (of all people) were still getting paid less than their male co-stars. Apparently Charlize Theron took note of those e-mail exchanges as well, and has once again asserted how much of a badass she is by reportedly securing equal pay to Chris Hemsworth on ‘The Huntsman.’

Laika has given us some of the most beautiful animated films in recent memory, including 2014's hit ‘The Boxtrolls.’ Today the studio has announced its next animated endeavor, ‘Kubo and the Two Strings.’ The Japanese-inspired film was written by the guys behind ‘ParaNorman,’ and will feature a fantastic voice cast—including Matthew McConaughey, Charlize Theron, and Ralph Fiennes.
