The Comic-Con 2012 'Game of Thrones' panel tapped the San Diego convention's largest space, Hall H. Even still with two of its stars bailing right before -- Lena Headey (aka Cersei Lannister) due to a scheduling conflict and Kit Harington (aka Jon Snow) because of an ankle injury -- it's still one of the most anticipated events.
Comic-Con 2012 just made fans of Edgar Wright's "Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy" very happy with an announcement from Universal Pictures that the final film in the series, 'The World's End' has been greenlit. They've even given us the first official poster for the film, which you can check out below!
AMC has let out a flood of promotional material in anticipation for its Comic-Con 2012 'Walking Dead' panel, including a new season 3 poster that may have revealed more than it originally intended to, and the news of a zombie obstacle course called 'The Walking Dead' Escape. Oh yeah, and the fact that Comic-Con attendees will get to see the zombie-proof Hyundai car up close and personal.
But what about the actual panel? Was it worth the hype?
Ever since Focus Features teamed up with studio Laika for 'Caroline,' we've been hoping for another stop-motion based project to come from this partnership. Now we have 'ParaNorman,' the story of a boy who can speak with the dead. We've seen trailers, posters and behind-the-scenes featurettes, but there's a lot more to be had at the Comic-Con 2012 panel on Friday in San Diego.
We know what you want. You want to know about the exclusive IMAX 'Skyfall' trailer I saw on Thursday at Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego, and I want to tell you. However this is one of those cases where the context of the presentation absolutely influenced, and maybe even overshadowed, the art on display.
Indulge me, as I give you some background.
If 'Dexter's crazy promos plastered all over the internet (and all over San Diego, for that matter) wasn't already hinting at this, the Showtime series had an enormous presence at Comic-Con 2012. It started with the addictively funny internet memes and continued long after its Thursday night panel.
Fans of the show all gathered in Ballroom 20 to hear Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, Yvonne Strahovski, John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton and Scott Buck give out some inside information on what can be expected from the upcoming season.
If we weren't excited for 'The Expendables 2' panel at Comic-Con 2012 last week, we definitely were after its new poster started making the rounds. It also meant that Hall H in San Diego would be packed with eager fans and journalists alike, waiting to hear what Sylvester Stallone, Jean Claude Van Damme and Arnold Schwarzenegger had to say about the upcoming flick.
