Millions of movie fans are going to get to see the great Ben Kingsley ham it up as the villainous Mandarin in 'Iron Man 3' when it opens this Friday, but he has another big performance coming our way in 2013. The Oscar-winning thespian is playing the role of war hero Mazer Rackham in Gavin Hood's upcoming adaptation of 'Ender's Game' and our first look at the character has arrived.
'Ender's Game' is by far one of our most-anticipated Young Adult book-based movies hitting theaters in the coming months, and now we've got the first poster to prove it.
Nearly 30 years after its initial publication, 'Ender's Game' is finally getting the blockbuster Hollywood adaptation that it has always demanded. With the November 1 release date too distant for a full trailer but too close for total silence, Summit has released a new image featuring Hailee Steinfeld's Petra Arkanian ('Ender's Game' is going to give 'The Hunger Games' a run for its money in the wacky names department) as well as the logos for each of the "Battle School" armies featured in the film.
We have little under a year to go before we get to see Gavin Hood's long-awaited adaptation of 'Ender's Game', but it appears as though we're beginning to get immersed in the beloved futuristic world created by author Orson Scott Card.
Case in point: today brings us a brand new photo from the film, featuring an imposing Harrison Ford and the film's young hero, played by 'Hugo' star Asa Butterfield. See the full image after the break.
