After suffering delays, director changes, casting changes, more delays and a studio bankruptcy, Jane Got a Gun is finally coming to theaters. Natalie Portman stars in the new western as a desperate woman who seeks the aid of an old boyfriend to help defend her homestead from the men who previously held her captive. The latest trailer for the film doesn’t do it much favors, between the generic heavy rock music and the generic DTV action flick font — but the actual footage still looks enticing, at the very least.

Director Danny Boyle and the cast of Trainspotting have been talking up a sequel in the press for years, to the point where it started to feel more like wishful thinking than anything else. But recent updates on the project have been quite optimistic, which makes today’s news not all that surprising: Trainspotting 2 is officially happening with Boyle, Ewan McGregor and the rest of the original cast.

Danny Boyle has been teasing us with the promise of a Trainspotting sequel for years, to be based on Irvine Welsh’s novel Porno, itself a sequel to Welsh’s source material for Boyle’s original film. The director has talked up the sequel so much with no actual momentum that it hardly feels like a possibility, but Boyle is at it again, and this time he says the Trainspotting followup is his next movie.

Ewan McGregor has had some opinions about Star Wars: The Force Awakens — primarily, he’s had a bone to pick about that crossguard lightsaber, which he doesn’t think is very necessary for a good Jedi.
