‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia‘ is already off to a great Season 9, with the premiere quite great, and last week's "The Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award" one of their best episodes ever. Hopefully that bodes well for this week's episode "Mac and Dennis Buy a Timeshare."

Though 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' has been on for nine seasons, the show has only once been nominated for an Emmy (a Primetime Emmy for "Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Comedy Series or a Variety Program" at that), and tonight's episode pokes fun at the show's lack of awards and at trying desperately to get an award.

After last week's very strong start, we're hoping that Season 9 of 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' can keep up the energy. Tonight's episode "Gun Fever Too: Still Hot" deals with gun control, albeit in a very 'Sunny' way.

'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' is kicking off its ninth (but probably not final) season on the new Fox channel FXX, which means it's possible many thought they had their DVR's set to record this, but didn't reprogram their machines. Alas, this new channel may take some getting used to, but it takes no time to settle back into the antics of the 'Philly' crew in "The Gang Broke Dee."

Much as we love the recent 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' season 9 teasers that so artfully chronicle the September 4 move from FX to FXX, it was high time for some actual footage, no? Well, true to living, drinking, and snorting to excess, the gang has returned with not one, but 10 Flip-adelphian new promos for the new season starting in September!

Whether or not the gang from 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' ends up holding to series star Glenn Howerton's earlier words that the show would come to a close with season 10, the upcoming ninth season is nearly ready to have its layers peeled back. The full hi-res poster for the Paddy's Pub gang's arthouse phase has arrived, and we can't decide if we're turned on or hungry.

We'd previously heard 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' star Glenn Howerton talking about next year's tenth season as a definitive end to the longrunning FX series, though Howerton soon recanted his words. Now, the entire cast and crew have chimed in to agree they see potential for an even longer run, spoofing their many award snubs in the process with an upcoming episode.
