Tom Hanks is America's sweetheart and by all accounts one of the nicest men on the planet. He would never curse! So imagine the surprise at 'Good Morning America' when Hanks stopped by and delivered an F-bomb at 8:25am. Good morning, America!
If you can't get enough of 'Good Morning America,' you're in luck. Starting July 9 at 2 p.m. eastern and running for nine weeks, the ABC show is tacking on an extra hour to 'GMA' and calling it, aptly enough, 'Good Afternoon America.'
After a 16-year reign at the top of the morning ratings, it looks like the 'Today' show may have finally met its match. The final numbers won't be released until later this week, but preliminary tallies show ABC's 'Good Morning America' with a tiny viewership edge over the NBC stalwart.
Like most of the world, we're betting you enjoy your sleep. Sure, in this work-a-day lifestyle sometimes even the 9-5 workday seems obsolete, and it only takes the faintest of e-mails to drag you kicking and screaming from your bed toward a misfiled T.P.S. report.
